FRIENDS OF WEST SUSSEX SUMMER GAMES
Friends of West Sussex played their home match against Surrey at Guildford, this was due to our eviction from Westergate. We would like to thank Surrey for allowing us to hire their facilities.
The final result was a win for West Sussex by 27 points to 21 and by 359 shots to 311.
The best team was again the pair of Wendy Smith and Richard Bourne with the triple of Sue Plassing, Joy Reynolds and Sonia Burden. This time Wendy & Richard were best pair and Sue, Joy & Sonia made it a full house with being the best triple.
Well done to all who have participated this summer, we have remained unbeaten in our two games.

Fours and Pairs competition 17th August 2024
The 2nd Summer competition was held at Storrington consisting of a four splitting into 2 pairs, all parts having 7 ends.After 3 complete sessions the top three were:

- Horsham Hotshots (Robbie Calder, Wendy Smith, Rob Sanders, Mike Wilson).
- Bognor Goodwoods 1 (Joyce Abel, Brian Goodland, Pam Andrews, Clive Andrews).
- Bognor Goodwoods 2 (Di Rundle, Marion Hatch, Dean Rundle, Reg Hatch).
Congratulations to all who took part in a competitive but friendly atmosphere.
VENUE CHANGES FOR NATIONALS Venue for the National Mixed Fours and Over 55 pairs is now Melton Mowbray and not Solihull as previously stated on the entry qualifying entry forms.
County Treasurer Needed for 2025-26 Season Tony Broughton has indicated he will be standing down as County Treasurer next season. Without a Treasurer our Association will not exist!
