Countdown to “Back to Bowls”!
For Clubs with “Safe Status”
NOTE: To All Clubs without Safe Status in the County
Even if you meet to have a fun, social bowl with your members there will be protocols to follow. The previous Safe Status applies to absolutely everyone who wants to bowl and we strongly recommend that all clubs have completed the application forms to be able to return to bowls.
If you need help to complete the Safe Status forms please contact Jean Armour-Milne.
Extract from ESMBA March routemap statement :
No earlier than 21st June 2021 it is hoped all limits on social contact are removed and short mat bowls can return to normal enabling all bowlers to make informed personal decisions about social contact. This will be reviewed when more information is received.
It must be remembered this is only a guide and can change dependent on Government's interpretation of the most recent data.
Also, to return to bowls Clubs must hold " Safe Bowls" status. Anyone found not adhering to ESMBA policy could face further action.
To All Ex-County Players
Would all Ex-County Players who hold a County Shirt kindly return them via a Management Committee Member or via their Club Delegate at the AGM to be held on 28th July.
ESMBA March Statement and a FAQ
There have been several emails and phone calls regarding the EXCLUSION of Village Halls opening in Step 2 ie Mid April. This is not an ESMBA decision but one that has been published in the Govt Guidance. Apparently there is a legal difference between a village hall and a community centre. ACRE who represent Rural Communities and the majority of Village Halls asked and obtained clarification from the Govt.
On ACRE’s website they state Village Halls to remain closed until 17 May.
